About your plan
What happens when I use all my monthly calls?
Additional calls use your prepaid balance at $0.008 per call on every paid plan. Your subscription renews at its monthly price and refreshes your included calls. For regular higher usage, upgrade to a larger monthly allowance.
Can I control credit spending?
Set a credit-spend budget in your account. Auto-recharge is optional and must be enabled by you; adding credits does not enroll you automatically. Requests stop when your available allowance or spending controls prevent another call.
Do unused calls or credit expire?
Monthly calls reset each billing period and don’t roll over. Prepaid credit stays in your account until you use it. Free and pay-as-you-go accounts get 100 free calls each month; subscription allowances are the total included calls for that plan.
What counts as a call?
A request that returns HTTP 200 counts as one call, including a successful search with no results. Each page of results is a separate call. Errors and other non-200 responses are not charged.
Can I use my calls on different APIs?
Yes. Your calls are shared across the whole catalog. You can use one API or many without changing plans. Request limits apply across all your API keys; concurrent requests are calls running at the same time.
Do builds or extensions use my calls?
No. Builds and extensions are free, subject to your account’s build quotas. Only data calls use your call allowance.
Can I keep an API private?
Private APIs are coming soon with monthly subscriptions. You’ll be able to build APIs that stay out of the public catalog, with 5 active private APIs on Starter, 25 on Growth, or 100 on Scale. Building and extending them will be included. All APIs built today are public.
